Tipp City Library's (Ohio) MySpace Page
Hello everyone and welcome to the WLS. Today we shall take a break from our exploring of new social networking sites, and instead go to an old reliable site, MySpace.com!
This week we are reviewing the Tipp City Public Library's MySpace page, which can be accessed here. I chose this site because it has almost everything I look for in a library social networking site: it promotes the library's holdings, it contains information about the library, it contains pictures relevant to the library and its users, it has up-to-date blogs, and it has wonderful comments from the friends of the library-who share their favorite books to read. Another reason I chose this site was the hilarious video of Pinky chasing Pacman around the library, seriously this video is a must-see, but there is more here than just casual hilarity. Another great thing is that the site has a link to their "Ask-a-Librarian" feature. This makes it easy for users to get help from their library, wherever they are.
For these reasons, Tipp City Public Libary (Ohio) is getting to sit in the weekly library spotlight this week. Thank you all for joining me in the WLS this week, and I hope you all return next week.
